Umbrella of You
Like the river meets the sea,
You have found me.
Like a sunset of the rarest hue,
I was destined for you.
As I sit here,
The candles flicker.
With their fingers of burning,
Ember thistle.
They remind me of love,
And the rings on our fingers,
They remind me of warmth,
That heats all of my winters.
I find myself resting,
Beneath the rainstorm’s parted curtain.
For not even the rain could shake,
The umbrella of you,
I’m certain.
